The term blogosphere refers collectively to all the blogs on the Internet and specifically the collective consciousness of the bloggers.

It is analogous to a natural environment such as the rainforest, which contains a complex interacting network of species, natural cycles and relationships.

In a similar way, the blogosphere contains a complex interacting system of ideas, trends, opinions and knowledge.
